Don’t you just love how Jesus presented truth while he was on the earth? He laid it out, and then let the people decide. He was not a high pressure salesman coercing people into an immediate decision. He laid the truth out there, and let them decide. People had the choice. I’m always surprised when people choose not to follow God. Really? You have the choice of life and death, please choose life! You have the choice to do life on your own, or with others who love and support you, please, choose God’s way! Jesus set the perfect example of letting people have their own journey. If you want to take the hard way, it is your choice, but if I can have the help of the Almighty on my journey, I am surely going to take it! In fact, once we get hooked up with Jesus, we are offered the power of the Holy Spirit to come along side and help us. Jesus said that when we would be filled with the Holy Spirit, we would have power to live for God, and to see others come into His kingdom. We have the choice to accept the power or not! Duh, I’m going for power! Lights on, or lights off? I prefer lights on! Bring on the power. What a wonderful advantage the Holy Spirit is in our life. But the choice is only for me. I can’t make anyone else desire the power. We can be like Jesus, set the truth and the choice before them, but it is up to them to say yes! Let’s say yes to all that God has for us!
