Saturday Dec 12 – Welcome to Our World

We believe that a Baby born on that blessed night would give us the greatest gift of love ever, eternal life. The Promised One that the world was waiting for had arrived. He made His entrance in a manger, and then He made an entrance in our heart. Both were not perfect, but both were a place to call home. A stable for a baby? Not the best nursery. But at home in our heart? The best place to call home. When we welcome Him into our hearts, He brings peace to a violent world, healing to an earth under a curse, and salvation to us. Welcome Him into every part of our lives. One reason I love Christmas so much is because, even for a small section of the year, people use the name Jesus, and talk about His birth without restraint. We can walk the malls and hear Silent Night, or O Holy Night, and know they are talking about Jesus, when He was first welcomed to the earth. He made His entrance as a fragile little baby, to be the One to save humanity. He was the perfect Son of God, filled with love, we believe! Welcome to our World.

Welcome to Our World by Chris Rice

Verse 1
Tears are falling
Hearts are breaking
How we need to hear from God
You’ve been promised
We’ve been waiting
Welcome holy Child
Welcome holy Child

Verse 2
Hope that You don’t mind our manger
How I wish we would have known
But long-awaited holy Stranger
Make Yourself at home
Please make Yourself at home

Verse 3
Bring Your peace
Into our violence
Bid our hungry souls be filled
Word now breaking heaven’s silence
Welcome to our world
Welcome to our world

Verse 4
Fragile finger sent to heal us
Tender brow prepared for thorn
Tiny heart whose blood will save us
Unto us is born
Unto us is born

Verse 5
So wrap our injured flesh around You
Breathe our air and walk our sod
Rob our sin and make us holy
Perfect Son of God
Perfect Son of God
Welcome to our world
