No Fear

Intro:
Hi kids, this is Dorette with an encouraging word for Kids today. I hope you are realizing how much more God has for you. We are still talking about MORE, and I hope you are getting a big picture of all of the good things God has in store for you. Be blessed today.

I have a dare for you! Take the words fear and afraid out of your vocabulary. Maybe you are asking, is that really ok to do? When it comes to reaching your destiny and becoming the person God has for you, sometimes we are fearful or afraid of what it might take. But because we are believers and we believe (!), we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, we can move forward and press on without fear. I heard someone once say, when you step out to do something new, doing it afraid is ok. When we feel fear, we can say that with God’s help, I am full of courage. When something feels scary, we can say, I can overcome and press through this feeling, so that I can live fearlessly. Is there something you have wanted to try, but fear is holding you back? Maybe it’s trying out for a team, or a musical group, or a play. Why not step out and try. One thing that is good to remember is that most people fail in some way before becoming a success. I heard someone say that they used their mess ups and mistakes to press forward. You could say they failed forward. Failure isn’t final. It can become a new starting point that gives you the courage to try again. So take any words that hold you back from reaching your destiny out of your vocabulary. You are made for more, and you will get there without fear!

Vision and Purpose

There are many things that can keep you from moving ahead in God. To avoid those, it is important to keep your vision before you. Jesus knew what he was on the earth to do, and He lived it….. In Luke 4:18 it says:

The spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

Jesus knew what His purpose was. What is your purpose on the earth? Some Christians struggle their whole life to figure that out. Here is a hint! As believers, we are called to do what Jesus did! The great commission tells us to Go and teach all nations. We are to help people. If we are to become all we are created to be , we get on board with our purpose! You are qualified! You are called! You are valued! And God has a job for you to do. We are to live out our dreams and fulfill our destiny. We have to get rid of any negative self talk, and believe what God has to say about us. We have to continue doing what we know is right, and in due season we will reap, if we don’t get discouraged and if we don’t give up. So be strong and of good courage. Be a doer of the Word, and live your dream and fulfill God’s desire for your life.

Helping the Hurting

When we are anchored in Christ, we can be those who see a need and fill it and find a hurt and heal it. There are hurting, needy people all around us. When we keep our eyes open, very often God will bring people into our lives who have needs that we can help with. We have been comforted by the Holy Spirit and we get to give that same comfort to those who need it. We can lead them to the comforter, who is the healer of broken hearts. So can you begin to live selflessly, and find someone to serve? Can you look for needs that you can meet? Why not make this the day that you will reach out and help someone. There are places in your life where you have grown and have experienced the grace of God that you can give to someone else. Our church vision statements says we are a place that helps people, and trains others to be helpful. That should be what we are as Christians. Can you look for needs and find a place to meet them. Why not start in your own house. Then at your job, or your neighborhood, or your community. We want everyone we know to experience the love of God and know that God has more for them. We want them firmly anchored in Christ, so that they can keep the wonderful cycle of grace going. We help someone, they begin to help someone else, and so on. So find a need and fill it, and find a hurt and heal it. That’s the gospel in motion!

Be Kinder Than Necessary

Even if things look their worst, you can dream again. Somebody once said, be kinder than necessary because you never know what kind of battle someone might be facing. If your circumstances are hard right now, I hope people are being extra kind and extra patient with you. Having gone through any kind of emotional junk, when you reach the other side, you end up being a whole lot more compassionate and caring. You have personal experience of how intensely pain can hurt, and hopefully you will be more kind and patient with people around you. If your road is rough right now, it doesn’t mean life is over. If things look their worst, you can still find a way to get back to your best. If you are the one who messed up, and hurt someone else, God’s forgiveness is there for you. If someone abandoned you, or if you are mystified by what is transpiring in your life, your strength, your comfort and your refuge is still there for you, and He (that’s God) still has a wonderful plan for your life. God is still lovingly working things for your benefit. God is still holding your dreams, and gently keeping them. He will tenderly lead you back to the place where you see that you can dream again, and that your dreams can become a reality. They are not just pie in the sky by and by! They will be manifested as you continue walking strong in God, depending on His strength, step by step.

Dealing with Distractions

I have noticed something in my own life that distractions make life harder. They make it harder to write, to think, to finish projects, or to make it to my goals. Distractions make it harder to do just about anything! While I am writing now, my son is practicing piano, and I’m thinking about what to make for dinner. There is a fly walking across my computer, annoying me, and my head is pounding, because I think I may be addicted to caffeine! Someone is coming up our walk way, and I have to get ready for Wednesday night service in just a few minutes. My husband just called and wants me to do an errand on the way to church. I think I am distracted! Even thinking about the ways I am distracted is a distraction! Distractions can keep us from walking toward God’s best for our life. I’m sure you’ve said this before, “I don’t have enough hours in my day.” Or, “I never seem to get done, and usually that is because distractions have taken me off course.” To make sure that we make it to the destination we are headed, we have to navigate through the distractions in our path and keep our focus. Whether an emotional distraction is in your way, or a physical barrier, or negative circumstances of some sort, we can keep going and make it to our goal when we press forward and remain determined. Prov 29:18 says that without a vision my people perish. Habakkuk 2:2 says for us to write the vision down and make it plain, so you can run with it. We need a vision, and it needs to be accessible to us so we can see it and make it come to pass. So walk around those distractions and keep on moving forward. The vision you have for your life can come to pass!

Flourish in Life

All through this year, we have concentrated on the word “more” for our Ladies Ministry at our church, Amazing Grace Fellowship. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. Our Rejoice Conference theme this spring was “MORE”, so this fall, we decided to stay on the same topic. All of our ladies Bible Studies are studying the book, “You are Made for More”, by Lisa Comes. So this week, we will see how much more God has for us, even with distractions all around, or if your heart has been broken. Here is your daily eword

To have a flourishing finish, the best thing to do is to walk strong, live strong and finish strong. We are all about living limitlessly, and striving for the best, but often we let circumstances limit us from enjoying all of the benefits that God has prepared for us, in the process of life. Everything can be going along great and bam, out of the blue, we are hit with something unexpected. It has happened to all of us. All of the sudden you are dealing with emotions that scream at you. Along with dealing with negativity that are trying to derail you, the enemy begins an echo in your mind that you are a failure, that you won’t ever accomplish or be what God has for you. Right then is when you have to shut off the negative echo, and capture those thoughts that are not in line with God’s Word. It takes discipline, but you can do it! You can’t leave your mind idle, so immediately find a scripture that will realign your mind with God’s Word. We call that renewing our mind. When our mind is transformed, we can begin to walk out of the negative circumstances, and begin walking strong, living strong, and eventually when our earth assignment is complete, finish strong. The strength you need is on the inside of you. Sometimes we don’t even realize how strong we are until we hit some outside pressure. If we have been living out our faith, we will be prepared, and then can brush ourselves off, pick ourselves up, and then walk strong again. That is God’s desire! He has more for you.

Your Life Verse

Choose a life verse. With all of the amazing verses in the Bible, it may be a hard choice. It is interesting to me that after reading two books both written by women, that they both had a life verse, and one was from the Old Testament, and one was from the New. Debbie MacComber ,in her book, One Perfect Word, talks about Genesis 12: 2 being her life verse. It basically says that we are blessed to be a blessing. Lisa Comes, in her book, You are made for more, says her life verse is from the book of Philippians chapter 1 verse 6. It basically says that what God has begun in your life, he will complete. She had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Billy Graham, and she asked him to sign her Bible, and he added Phil 1:6. Two great amazing scriptures. The interesting part of the story is that both of those verses have been my life verses! From the time I was young, I have regularly signed cards with Phil 1:6. Then as a newly wed, upon learning about the many blessings we have been given as our inheritance in Christ, I picked up Gen 12:2 as an additional life verse. So what is yours? With all of the options available, I’m sure you can find one in the 31,240 verses in the Bible! Once you find yours, let me know about it. I would love to hear from you and know why the verse you picked fits your life so perfectly. Be blessed today!

More eword for Kids

Intro:
Hi kids, this is Dorette with an encouraging word for Kids today. I hope you are realizing how much more God has for you. We will be talking about MORE in the coming weeks, and I hope you get a big picture of all of the good things God has in store for you. Be blessed today.

Dream BIG! God has a great future for you. If you haven’t noticed, in the world there are dream thieves and dream crushers all around. The moment you vocalize the dreams and desire that God has placed in your heart, somebody comes to take and smash them. Too many people get to their grave and never accomplish their destiny. It is so sad, but it doesn’t have to be! So as a child, my prayer for you is that you begin asking God what His plan is for your life. You may already know. I knew as a young girl that I would serve God in full time ministry. But maybe God has placed in your heart to be or do something that seems way out of reach, or even too hard for you to accomplish. Don’t be discouraged, and don’t give up. Continue to pursue God’s destiny for you. My own story started out with me becoming a missionary doctor, with the plan that I would serve God in a foreign land. I even started college with that in mind. Little did I know that God’s plan for me was to serve along side the man who would become my husband and raise 5 awesome kids who all love and serve the Lord. Our big God can place a desire and a dream in our heart and it can even be better than we expected. So keep on believing that the dream and destiny God has for you will come to pass.

God’s Thumb Print

Your desires are connected to your destiny. If you grew up in church like the one I grew up in, you might think just the opposite. As a young girl, I was taught that God’s will would be just directly opposite of what you wanted to do, and would make you miserable. I think that is why so many teens and college students departed from the faith. They wanted to enjoy life, and have fun! Having made a commitment to Christ early on in life, and knowing as a young girl that I was called to serve God full time in the ministry, I found out that being in God’s will is the place where we enjoy life the most! Doing the will of God, and following our God given desires will bring us the most joy. Being in the will of God isn’t dreadful, its delightful! In fact, I think that every Christian is a leader and every member in the body of Christ is called to minister, where ever they are. It is up to us to find and then develop the God given gifts and desires so that we can be most effective for the kingdom of God. What is it that comes naturally to you? Do you love being around people? Are you a good organizer/administrator? Do you love encouraging people? Are you merciful? Your motivational gift is tied to your destiny. God’s thumb print is on your life for a purpose! It is there so you can live your best life, doing what you really love, serving people. God is calling all of us to pursue His plan for our lives, so that we can effectively see many come to Christ in our lifetime. Whatever your occupation, you are a Christian first, who happens to be doing your job. What a great connection. Desire plus determination equals walking in your destiny!

Choose God’s Plan

There is nothing more beneficial to our life than pursuing God’s plan. Many are the plans we make up! We try to figure out how and when and why, and sometimes we are right, but more often than not, we are surprised and delighted by how God works things out. When we regularly tell God that we desire to do what He wants, and openly yield to Him for direction and guidance, we can be assured that He will help us. He isn’t keeping information away from us. We are His sheep and we know His voice as it says in the gospel of John. We should be familiar with how his voice sounds. We know that each day we spend in His presence is where we find joy, and peace and rest. So when we are listening to His voice and spending time in His presence, we are preparing ourselves to experience more and more of God’s plan for our lives. We want to be in a position to be able to receive God’s best for us. Maybe you’ve heard it this way, that God’s will is good acceptable and perfect. That is the best way to live. Living outside of God’s plan is where it is hard. The enemy would like to convince you that it is just opposite of that. He wants us to believe that living the world’s way is fun, and God’s way is boring. NOT SO! So on our way pursuing God’s plan, lets enjoy the journey. This is the blessed life! There is nothing better! Make this your prayer, Father, I’m available to you, I want to do your will and pursue your plan more than anything else. I receive your wisdom and direction in Jesus’ name. AMEN!
