Released from Discouragement

Have you ever felt discontented? Just today as I was meditating on the Lord, the words a “spirit of discontentment” settled in on my heart. I have been thinking and praying about several situations I know about with women and men who have an unsettledness going on in their life. I really feel like the Lord dropped in my spirit that discontentment may be the core of their issues.
What is a spirit of discontentment? I think it really has to do with an attitude of dissatisfaction, that things just are off balance, or out of kilter. It does seem with each passing year, that things change on a regular basis. We have to get used to operating in a different manner than we did before. Kids grow up, parents get older, friends move away, hormones change, sleep patterns change, and little things that never bothered us before can be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
What is becoming so obvious to me is that we can’t let little things just slide. If we do, before we know it, a little tiny issue can be blown out of proportion, and if we act in haste, we can do things that can turn our lives upside down. Discontentment can make us like a boiling volcano that is ready to erupt.
What is the best way to get settled inside once again? Let’s talk about that tomorrow.  Be blessed!

Overcoming Dissapointments

Intro:
I hope you are beginning to see how much more God has for you during this series I am calling Limitless Living. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. This week, we will see how to overcome disappointment and live totally contented and fulfilled, no matter what your circumstances. You are an overcomer. Here is your daily eword.
Monday
I bet there isn’t one person you know who hasn’t faced disappointment. It is a common human ailment, because we live in a fallen world, and on a planet that has a curse on it. We have all faced some sort of disappointment in our life. God isn’t the one to blame. He gets blamed all the time…especially with words like “everything happens for a reason”. By that statement, God gets the blame for every single thing that happens in people’s lives. I can agree with part of that statement that there is a reason behind everything, but it isn’t always a good thing. We know the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. So when evil things happen around you, it certainly could be for a reason, but not a good one. We know Jesus came to bring abundant life, so his reasons are to bless and prosper you. We have to keep those lines clear. In the midst of dealing with junk that comes our way, we have to recognize the source. It really is good to think like a preschooler at that point. If it is Good, it is God, if it is bad, it is the enemy. We can put our trust in a GOOD God. He has our best interest at heart. But many people find it hard to put their trust in God when they feel let down. God is the trust worthy one. He is the one who turn bad situations around. He can take what was meant for evil and turn it to good. Only our great God can do that. So keep on trusting in our great GOD. He loves you and wants to walk you from your greatest disappointments right into His amazing presence. There you will find all that you need to face life with joy and purpose.

No Fear for Finances or Family

Two areas the enemy often attacks us with fear are finances and family. I want us to say the same thing over our families and our finances. The word confession means just that, saying the same thing, and what better things to say than confession directly from scripture.

For your family: My family is walking in the path that God has for them. All my children are taught of the Lord, and great is their peace. My family members are God’s sheep and they know His voice. They will not follow the voice of a stranger. They are bought by the blood of Jesus and a part of God’s family. We live an operate in unity and harmony. Our lives are an example of the unity within the God head. My mate and I are walking in harmony, and we demonstrate love to each other and to God. We are a living epistle before our family and friends of the blessing of living in God’s divine will.

For your finances: My God supplies all of my need according to His riches in Glory. He is my Jehovah Jireh, and the God of more than enough. We use wisdom and discretion in our spending, and we are liberal and generous in our giving. We live to give and we love to give. We sow our finances into God’s kingdom where we know it will produce for us, not only for now, but for eternity. We are blessed coming in and going out. We live to give and we love to give!

God is more than enough and we can live in all of His fullness, without fear. We can live Iife without limits!

Dailyeword for kids

Hi kids, this is Dorette with an encouraging word for Kids today. I hope you are realizing how much more God has for you. We are still talking about MORE, and I hope you are getting a big picture of all of the good things God has in store for you. Be blessed today.

One thing that you kids do naturally that us older people can learn from you is to enjoy even the small things. There is so much that we adults have seen and done that we can yawn at small moments of joy instead of jumping up and down and being glad! But we need you to re-teach us this lesson. Life is wonderful! Jesus came to give us life to the full, overflowing and abundantly. He wants us to live life limitlessly. Even with bumps along the way, life can be a wonderful, beautiful ride. That doesn’t erase the fact that bad things can happen to good people, because we do live in a fallen world. We need to remember that we are richly blessed – just even by where we live. We have so many opportunities that many people around the world never get to experience. Probably all of you had 3 meals plus snacks yesterday – that’s something to be glad about. You probably had a soft bed to sleep on, computer access to all that we desire to be connected to, and someone to love you. Those are great things to be thankful for. So instead of thinking about all the things you don’t have, or wish you could have, or being afraid or fearful, be content ! I’m thankful for the place I am in right now. That’s a great place to be! Keep getting excited about little things, and always be content in the joy of the moment. Maybe we as adults will catch on!

Live beyond natural fears

One thing I’ve noticed about human nature is that we get committed to something when it directly affects us. For example, when sickness attacks our body, we begin reading healing scriptures. When we have a financial shortage, we read get serious about tithing and reading the Word about finances. If we really want to be Spirit led believers, we should spend time, attention and energy on the importance of understanding the operation of the Spirit of God. We want to be attentive listeners. God wants us to check our heart, and then let Him flow through us. If we seriously want to live the abundant life, it takes discipline and diligence. It takes reprioritizing our life. It takes simplifying our life. It takes saying no to the good, so you can say yes to the best. God’s best is limitless living, beyond all of our natural fears. We could live filled with fear and never accomplish what God has for us, or we could live full of faith and courage. Then we could say yes when God asks us to do what seems hard or maybe even impossible. Why is that so important? If we want to be Mary’s who choose what is right and most important, we have to say no to some things that really don’t matter. To be able to say be it unto me according to your Word takes courage! Living above natural human existence, living in the presence of God, living a life that is led by the spirit of God, takes courage! Let’s live above fear! That is living your best life.

Don’t Worry, PRAY!

Many Christians live way beneath their privileges as believers. They live a purely natural human existence, day by day, moment by moment. They live average lives, bumping along, often from disaster to disaster, or from trial to trial, without doing anything about it. They live filled with worry, and expect the worst. They don’t really read the Word, they don’t really pray – they might pray before they eat, or before they go to bed at night, but their existence is purely on a natural level. They are filled with worry and fear, and their world is headed toward negativity. It can happen to any of us. We are called out of darkness to live in the light! We can experience so much more when we are following after God and being led by the Spirit. The Bible tells us to draw nigh to God, and He will draw night to us. If I reach out to God, He’ll reach out to me. If I talk to God, He will fellowship with me. If I seek Him, then I will be found in Him. If I call on Him, He will show me great and mighty things. Those are things we can begin expecting! We make the first step. Don’t let fear grab a hold of you heart. Don’t worry, PRAY! So Regardless of the size of the storm, keep going! You’ll have a much better chance of making it to shore. Jesus was asleep on a pillow during a storm on the lake with the disciples. He was fearless! They were distraught and Jesus was resting. I think that could probably be what would be said about us when storms of life are pressing in on us. We get distraught, but Jesus is still telling us to rest. Let’s be prepared, and live above this natural life. Let’s live the higher life God is calling us to! Instead of worry, anxiety and concern, spend time talking to God. He will calm your fear, and lead you to limitless living, which is a result of living fearlessly!

Don’t let fear sideline you

Sports are a great learning tool for life. The lessons we learn include not giving up, perfecting our skills, having a good attitude in the midst of a down turn, and even smiling in the face of adversity. Whatever the sport is, the object is to continue getting better. If it is baseball, you keep swinging till you get it right and make contact with the ball. In the big baseball game of life, we know who the final winner is. Sometimes we may feel like we’ve lost the inning, but we don’t stop at three strikes. We keep on going. In fact, I love what I heard one minister say once. “My bat, my ball, my yard and my win.” I love that kind of tenacity. Sometimes there are set backs. They happen. Sometimes we strike out. Sometimes we can’t get on the field because it is raining, or snowing, or windy. But we don’t let the win slip from our hands. Don’t let fear sideline you from life. Renew your mind to all the promises that God has about you overcoming. When we walk in faith, instead of fear, we will reach our destination. In the midst of the journey, it is important to continue loving the game. Everyday we need to enjoy the journey. Keep on looking for jewels that God places in your path. Keep on finding joy in the small moments of life. Don’t let fear hold you back from your very best life! Not only on this side of glory. The greatest win of all is coming…..eternity in heaven. So remember, Jesus said that His desire was the God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let’s bring a little of that heaven into our sphere of influence today.

Let your courage bubble up!

Stages of life come and go, and we pass on to the next phase before you know it. Seasons and environment change. Things don’t always turn out the way you expect. It is easy to get disillusioned and loose hope, in the midst of negative circumstances. I hope that you never experience that. If you happen to be there right now, I hope soon you can be enjoying the abundant life that Jesus came to give us. I hope you can once again see life as wonderful! You do not have to live in fear! The future is bright, and God is not finished with you yet! Look for God moments and begin to let even small things bring a joy filled moment to your day. Here is a poem from several years ago, that is applicable every day….the best is yet to come!

The Best is Yet to Come!
No matter what it looks like, no matter how you feel
The circumstances that you’re in are not what’s really real
The future up ahead is bright, the days ahead will bring
A freshness in your spirit, with a song of joy to sing
You are full and you are rich with what is worth the most
It’s not a product of the world, it’s from the Holy Ghost
Rejoice and be extremely glad, this work I have begun
So let your courage bubble up, the best is yet to come!

God has a destiny and a purpose for your life. If you knew what was beyond the mountain in your life, you would keep walking! If you knew your provision was around the corner, you would keep going. Fear will send you in the opposite direction. So turn toward the path of faith. Don’t stop, don’t give up….your best is yet to come!

Overcoming Fear

All through this year, we have concentrated on the word “more” for the Ladies Ministry at our church, Amazing Grace Fellowship. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. Our Rejoice Conference theme this spring was “MORE”, so this fall, we decided to stay on the same topic. All of our ladies Bible Studies are studying the book, “You are Made for More”, by Lisa Comes. This week, we will see how to overcome fear and to live boldly. Here is your daily eword.
Monday
To live boldly, one thing I have found that encourages me is to speak God’s Word out loud. I encourage you to let these words encourage you to live beyond limits!

Jesus is Lord over my spirit, soul, and my body (Phil 2:9-11). I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil 4:13) The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.(Ps 23) My God supplies all my need according to Hs riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19) I do not fret or worry about anything. I cast my cares on the Lord. (Phil 4:6, I Peter 5:6,7) I am redeemed from the curse, and by His stripes, I am healed. My body functions the way God designed it to function. I honor God and bring glory to Him in my body. (Gal 3;13, Matt 8:17, I Peter 2:24, I Cor 6:20) I have the mind of Christ. (I Cor 2:16) I am a believer, not a doubter, I decide to walk by faith, live by faith and practice my faith. I hear God’s Word, and my faith grows. Jesus is the author and developer of my faith (Heb 4;14, Heb 11:6, Rom 10:17, Heb 12:2) Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (I John 4:4, Eph 2:6, Romans 8:2) I do not fear because God has given me a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. God is on my side (2 Tim 1:7, Rom 8:31) I am God’s sheep and know His voice, any other voice I will not follow (John 10:27) I am God’s workmanship and a member of the body of Christ. I represent Him well! (I John 5:4,5 Eph 2:10, Phil 2:13) I let the Word dwell in me richly. He who began a good work in me will complete it (Col 3:16, Phil 1:6) I will accomplish what God has for me on this earth, because I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and my prayers are powerful and effective. (II Cor 5:21, James 5:16).
God’s Word is alive in me, and His Word never comes back empty. God will finish what He has started in me, and I am an overcomer in this life. No good thing will God withhold from me, because I walk uprightly. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I choose to seek Him every day of my life.

Called to Care

God is the healer of broken hearts. If you’ve experienced hurt, you know how very deep it can be. It is comforting to know when we hurt deeply to remember that God loves deeply. His love can heal every deep hurt. He loves and cares for you, personally. I wrote this poem last Sunday after my husband spoke a message called Who Cares, about daring to care like Jesus. Hope you enjoy.

When your heart is broken, and you’re bleeding from inside
Is there anybody out there, who cares about your life?
Hurt and pain so deep, can make you run away and hide,
But the answer isn’t hiding, it’s in running to God’s side.

There’s a refuge and a fortress, that you know will see you through
He’s a God who’s always near, and He longs to care for you.

When you run to the Father, you will find His family there
Hearts and hands extended, showing love and giving care

For we once were the hurting, and God’s comfort we’ve received,
God’s grace is now upon us, to help others sense His peace.

Care is a lifeline IN the body, and what we are known for
And the care we show to others, will draw many to the Lord.

We are willing, we are able, filled up with love to share
From this family, and this body, they will know us by our care.
(September 23, 2012)

We can go from being the one who is broken, to the person who is helping to heal brokenness by showing love and care. II Cor 1:3,4, tells us that the same comfort we have received from God is what we get to give to others. The ones who get stuck in hurt, never take that next step and become a blessing to someone else. The reasons are varied, but let’s determine, the enemy will not win in our brokenness. God is the fixer and He wants to heal us, so we can be a blessing to somebody else.
