Demonstrate God’s Mercy

Take God’s mercy and accept His help. Are you one of those people who when someone offers you something, refuses it without checking it out. You may be cynical because you know you never get anything for free, or just too leery to accept anything because it sounds too good to be true. We all know that there are lots of scams out there, when you are promised amazing results, and it doesn’t happen. But God would never do that. What He promises, He delievers. He offers his help and mercy, and we should willingly say thank you, and receive it. Be generous with mercy to others. Someone out there is dying inside, because they feel like they are beyond God’s mercy. God wants to say to them, I love you and he might use your hands or your lips to say or demonstrate His love to them. Be open, Be willing, and be available. There are needs everywhere you look. Keep your eyes open, be observant. You will find someone today that you can encourage. They can see God’s mercy demonstrated through you. Amazing how God does that! Often, the way you have been encouraged by God, and even the area of life you have been encouraged by God is the way you will be able to encourage others!

If you fall, get back up!

I hope you know much more God has for you during this series called Limitless Living. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. This week, we begin winding down this series. We will look at how we can move forward from failure. God can take what the enemy meant for evil and make something beautiful in your life. Can God make a message out of the messes in your life? Yes He can! Here is your daily eword.
Monday

Everyone has failed in some way. None of us are perfect. I John 1:9 tells us to admit our faults, and ask for forgiveness, and receive the mercy of God. James 5;16 tells us that when we admit our imperfections, our missteps and our sins to one another, we will be healed. Those two scriptures alone give us so much hope. When we do fall, we can get back up. When we need healing or restoration in our relationships, we can receive what we need when we humble ourselves to God and each other. That’s that pattern God set up. That’s what families should do. That’s what churches should do. That’s what Jesus did through the cross, he restored our fellowship so that we have an open doorway to God’s presence. We can be the ones who do it too. Jesus said, come unto me……all you who are burdened and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Jesus is calling us into His presence, so that we can lay the burdens down, and walk on, with a spring in our step. He sees potential in us that we may not see. He sees joy for us, that we may think we will never experience. He sees success for us that we can’t even imagine at this moment. But if we sat where God sits, we would see a whole different perspective. He sees the big picture, and the mountain you see as failure, isn’t too hard for God to help you navigate around. Listen to His voice, he will lead you through to greater victory than you can imagine.

You’re the Best

What new label do you want to wear? Isn’t it funny that we buy shirts and sweatshirts with a brand name on them, and we advertise for the company we just bought the item from. Hilarious! We can wear a label like Calvin Klein, or Aeropostle, or Nike, and wear them proudly! But some labels we wear are not on clothing. They are almost stamped across our forehead….like victim, or loner, or helpless, or rejected. If there has been abuse in your past, the labels can be even worse. God has a much different label for you. The unfortunate things about negative labels is that often they echo over and over in your mind, and unless we consciously make an effort to turn off the echo, we believe what we hear. So if you have heard the words quitter, ugly, stupid, selfish, angry, tired, bossy or any other negative word echo in your heart, begin right now to erase those words that label your life. The new you in Christ is a new creation. Old things are gone and past away, you are now new! That means that now …..you is kind, you is smart, you is important! I love those words from the movie The Help! You are beautiful, you are intelligent, you are selfless, you are happy, you are alert, you are friendly, you are helpful……etc. Life might make you want to believe the worst about yourself, but God says you are the BEST!

One of a Kind

Hi Kids, this is Dorette Schaal with an encouraging word for kids today. We are talking about how much more God has for us. This week we are talking about labels, and how we should wear the label that God has put on us instead of the negative labels of the world. Here is your eword for kids today.

How do you talk about yourself? Do you talk about how blessed you are and how good God has been in your life? Do you talk about how you have favor and walk in God’s blessings? Probably none of us sound that positive. As humans, we focus more on what is wrong than what is right. We may think about how stupid we feel at times, or how awkward we are, or about what we can’t do. God created you as a masterpiece and He wants you to focus on your strengths, not your flaws! I know there are lots of great things about you. Here is what God says about you. He says He has chosen you, and He didn’t pick you last! You are His first choice. He says you are one of a kind, that means your uniqueness is a great thing. There is only one you! God says you are blessed! He blesses you coming in and going out, and He wants you to receive all the blessing He has for you in life. God says you are highly favored. That means you have automatic favor with God, but also with others. And last of all, God call you a success. You are not a failure, you are a success. Those are great things to remember, and then believe with all of your heart.

Be the True You

To experience more of God’s best in your life, it takes seeing with the eye of faith. When we take our eyes off of what we see in the natural, we can have the opportunity to see ourselves like God sees us. What do you think He sees when He looks at you? He sees a masterpiece! Every time you put yourself down, you criticize God’s workmanship. So instead of criticism, love yourself. If you want to love others, we have to have a healthy self love. We need to value God’s creation. So listen to your own words. Are you speaking life words over yourself? Are you speaking life words over others? Agree with what God says about you! Quit comparing yourself to others. Be you….you are an original, unique, authentic representation of you. There is only one you! Be the true you! And remember the gifts and qualities that you have that are given to you by God. Be aware of them, so that you can use them for His kingdom. Stir up those gifts, don’t let them be dormant. Stir them up so that you can make a positive impact on the lives of those around you. Make it the kind of impact that lasts a lifetime and is even eternal. That is God’s desire for you.

Speak words that edify and bless

Have you ever labeled anyone else? We often put people in categories that confine them in a box. We can do that by how they look, what they drive, where they live, etc. We don’t like that when others do that to us, but too often, we feel justified in doing that to others. So maybe now might be a good time to scan your mind and remember how it felt when it happened to you. If you have injured others, offering an apology might set them free from your words about them. If your immediate comeback is, they did it first, now is the time to let it go. Forgiveness opens the door to better relationships. You can be free and can set others free by the words you speak. So let’s determine in our lives not to label others. Whether it is your kids, your family, associates, your neighbors or even strangers, let’s let our words be sweet. We can build into the lives of those around us when we speak words that edify and build. Once you have asked forgiveness to ones you might have harmed by labeling them, why not speak positive words over them. Jesus reversed the curse for us on the cross. Why not reverse some of those labels, by speaking words that edify and bless.

You’re the Best!

You are Pretty Amazing!

What is right with you? That may sound like a funny question, but do you recognize how often we dwell on what is wrong with us, with our circumstances or with our relationships? So let me ask that question again. What is right with you? Start from the inside and then work your way out. Are you honest? Are you reliable? Do you fulfill your commitments? Are you a good representative of Jesus in how you deal with people? I bet you can answer yes, to many of those questions. How about your physical attributes? Do you have nice teeth, or pretty hair, or a nice color of eyes, or do you keep yourself well groomed? I know those sound like silly little things, but you have to consciously give yourself a pat on the back every once in a while. Your physical image doesn’t have to look like a model on a fitness magazine. There are lots of things that are right with you! Even if you have to dig deep, I know you will find something that is praise worthy. The Bible tells us to look for the good in things and people. In Philippians 4, it reads, if there be any virtue, if there be anything worthy of praise, think on these things. So quit thinking about what is wrong. Set your mind on what is good and right in your life, and especially what is right about you. Once you see yourself in a better light, and recognize the good in you, you might become more gentle on yourself, and that is a good thing. Who can you encourage? Maybe it is you! You are pretty amazing!

Believe the Report of the Lord!

I hope you are beginning to see how much more God has for you during this series called Limitless Living. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. This week, we will see how to move forward and be the person God created you to be by removing negative labels from your life. You are the person that God says you are, not the label that someone may have attached to your life. You can live free from labels and live limitlessly. Here is your daily eword.

Mon
Whose report will you believe? I want to believe the report of the Lord! What does the world say about you, compared to what the Word says about you. God has a good report about you! He says you are chosen, precious, one of a kind, the apple of His eye , highly favored, blessed and successful! Why not agree with God! The world and the world’s system often say just the opposite….that you are ordinary, that you are average, that you may never make anything of yourself, that you will always live from paycheck to paycheck. Aren’t you glad that you can believe what God has to say about you? His voice and His report are the ones that you should believe. Even when you receive a negative doctor’s report, the report of the Lord is that He wants you well. So once you believe God’s report, you can begin saying what He says about you. You are not ordinary, you are not average, you will make something of yourself, and you will be a success. You are chosen, precious, one of a kind, highly favored, blessed successful, and the apple of His eye. That means you are his favorite, and I am too! God’s report about you is filled with goodness! Receive all that He has for you, and be encouraged knowing that God plans for you are for GOOD!

Forward motion

You can move mountains. What is beyond the mountain that is in your way? Have you ever thought about giving up and then kept on going only to find that the miracle you needed was right around the corner? Don’t give up too soon. If you give up, you often forfeit your victory. Even in the deepest darkest moments, or the driest wasteland, God has a plan to get you to the place of victory and bring fresh and cleansing streams to your life, if we give Him the opportunity. We have to get out of the rut that we are in. Whether it is changing our thinking, or changing our actions, we have to let go of the past and move forward. You can’t grab a hold of your future if you are clinging to your past. Even Paul realized that his past of persecuting God’s people didn’t disqualify him from making the right choices today, so he could experience God’s blessing. He knew that the only way to reach his destiny was to let go what was behind him and strive for and push toward that which was ahead. So no matter what your past looks like, it is not beyond God’s forgiveness. We can forgive ourselves, and live in the blessings that God has for us today.
