Start Today

Phil 1:6 says that He who began a good work in you will cause it to come to completion. As we have focused on the subject of limitless living for all these weeks, I hope you see that today is just your starting spot. God is in you, beginning great and mighty things that will propel you on to consistently do God’s will. If you ever have a question of what the will of God is, I encourage you to look at I Thes 5:16-18, and see that we are always to be joyful, and keep on praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you. So how can you be in the will of God always? Be thankful always. Remember the faithfulness of God. Express your gratitude to God, and live a life of thanksgiving. Especially as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, let’s live a life of gratitude. Let’s be life giving. Let’s find ways to express our gratitude. Phil 4:8 tells us what to think about. It says to think on the things that are good and right! God loads us with benefits! Ps 68:19 We are blessed to be a blessing (Gen 12:2) and a blessed person should be a grateful person. So remain in the will of God everyday. Live a life of thanksgiving. Count your blessings, and remember God’s faithfulness. We have known the Father’s care for us, and He has been good. What God has started, He will complete!

Persevere in Faith

What does it mean to persevere? It means to persist, continue, to keep at it. We are to keep the Faith. Keep on going, don’t give up. Run your race, start strong, persevere long, and finish strong. It means we should adhere to the principles of faith. It means we know the Word of God so that we don’t waver. If you want to reach the goal line and get the prize that has your name on it, we have to keep going. You may be thinking that it is rough, or tough, or it seems too hard. Don’t let curve balls that are thrown your way keep you from finishing the game. Don’t let the enemy sideline you from winning the game of life. God is with you, in you and for you. It is like He is running beside you, giving you strength as you run, and then your biggest cheerleader and fan from the sidelines. You have more inside of you than you know. God’s strength is in you! He won’t leave your side, and He is cheering you on. I think we can make it. We can overcome any obstacle in our way. We can run through a troop and leap over a wall as the Bible says, and make it to the finish line. We can finish strong if we persevere!

Keep Your Faith Switch Turned On

Cast not away your confidence, keep the switch of faith turned on. You may or may not remember that old song, but the message is still true. Keep your confidence in God. When others try to shut down your confidence, or circumstances aren’t going your way, we can have confidence that when we come into the presence of God, we are invited there by God himself, and we find our confidence in Him. He is our strong tower, He is our strength, our fortress, our portion, our deliverer. We can trust in Him and not lean on our own understanding as it says in Proverbs 4. As humans, we try with our own will to figure out what is best for us, but God already knows. We can have confidence that His plan is coming to pass in our life as we obediently continue to walk in His way. In all our ways, when we acknowledge Him, He will direct our paths. He will make our life path clear. We can have confidence that God will not lead us astray. He has light for our way. His word gives us the lamp for our feet and a light for our path. The path of the righteous just gets brighter and brighter. Cast away your confidence? No way…..keep the switch of faith turned on.

Say yes to God’s will

Those who God calls, he equips. God has called you by name. He has equipped you. You are able. There was one man in the Bible who felt unequipped for the job that God had for him. His name was Moses and he felt totally unable to lead the children of Israel out of bondage. (You can read about it in Exodus 4.) Although he pleaded for God to use someone else, God said, he was equipped for the job. Instead of pleading your case, or trying to convince yourself that you can’t do the will of God, why not just agree with God! There’s a thought. Put yourself in His plan. Surrender to HIS WILL! When you realize that God puts people in your life to help train you, and lead you down the right path, you will recognize that God is right. You can do it. You are able. You are handpicked by God. He put you on this earth as an ambassador for Him, and God has an assignment for you to fulfill. No one else can do what you can do. No one else is strategically placed where you are. No one else can be you! You are God’s hands and feet in your specific area of your world, where you work, who you connect with, at home, at work, and everywhere you go. So shine your light, and say yes to God’s will for you!

Living Limitlessly

Intro:
This week we are concluding this series called Limitless Living. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. I hope you have been encouraged to live beyond any barriers that would keep you living a life without limits. God can take what the enemy meant for evil and make something beautiful in your life. Can God make a message out of the messes in your life? Yes He can! He has appointed, anointed and approved you. Here is your daily eword.

I love the idea of pre-approval. When you want to buy something big, like a house or a car, and you plan to borrow money to do it, don’t you love the idea of being pre-approved? It means someone has already said that you have their approval. Do you know that is what God says about you? He approves of you. You are not on his non approval list. Even if you are not at the place you would like to be in your life, His approval helps you realize that you can improve. His approval gives you hope. You have His power at work within you to help to overcome areas of concern for you. We know that he has an appointed will for your life, and he has a plan for you so that it can come to pass. So if you have ever felt like you were less than, or that you can never measure up, I have good news for you. God, the amazing, almighty, forgiving, one and only, creator of the universe, our perfect God, has already approved you. This is what He says about you…..You are well able to run your race. You are complete in Him, and can accomplish all that He created you to do in this life. You will reach your destiny. You are equipped, anointed, appointed and approved!

Expect God to Use You!

Be a restorer to someone who has failed. They may feel like nobody else is on their side. Your kindness may be the very thing that can bring them through. Talk to them personally. There are probably a lot of people talking about them, be the one who brings them a word of encouragement personally. You can do it through a card, a text or an email, on the phone or in person. It might be important for you to look them in the eye, face to face, and tell them you believe in them, and that you are on their side. I love it when God puts a divine appointment right in front of you, when you least expect it. You might be going about your day, totally unsuspecting that God is setting you up to minister to someone who needs to know that you love them and are on their side. Those instances happen when you are available, and willing to open up your heart to someone. Every time I step on an airplane, I expect God to set me up next to someone who needs encouragement. When I head out to do errands, I expect God to put someone in my path who needs a smile, a pat on the back, or words of encouragement. My expectation is usually met! I can remember one time years ago when my girls were little, I was homeschooling them, and hadn’t had an opportunity to minister to anyone yet that week. In my morning prayer time, I asked God to send me a divine appointment that day. He delivered a young girl to my doorstep. Her car broke down just a short way from my house, and she was a teenager who was pregnant, with a broken down car. Hand delivered by Jesus to my door, was my opportunity to be a blessing to a hurting, broken girl. What a privilege to encourage someone! Expect God to use you!

You Have Bounce Back in You!

Hi kids, this is Dorette Schaal with an encouraging word for your day. I hope you are beginning to realize how much more God has for you. You are destined to win in this race of life. Even when we crash and get scraped up, we can get up and keep going. Here is your dailyeword for kids today:

Perhaps your parents have told you this before: bad behavior doesn’t make you a bad person. What bad you have done, doesn’t define who you are. Another way to say that is, failures in life don’t make you a failure. We have all made mistakes, messed up, and sinned. Aren’t you glad that when we do, our life isn’t over? We have an option, and that is to come to God, repent, ask forgiveness, receive God’s mercy, and move ahead. I John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. What do you do when you fall off of your bike? You get back up. You may stay on the ground for a moment, but you are going to bounce back. You have bounce back in you! We can expect the same thing in our life. We are probably gonna mess up again sometime, and we know that God will be there to help us get back up, just like we would get back on our bike. God is faithful and just. He is the helper and the encourager beside you helping you get back on the seat, and encouraging you to start pedaling again. He will brush off the dirt of your life, because He wants you to walk clean, and make it to the destination He has planned for you. So keep on pedaling! Past mistakes, failure and mess ups can’t hold you back. You are going to make it to the finish line, and you can win at this race called life.

Be Someone’s Cheerleader

God is your biggest cheerleader. He keeps on encouraging you to win. I just got a funny picture in my mind with God holding pompoms, and I started laughing. That image just doesn’t work! We all need cheerleaders in our life, someone who uses words to speak encouragement into our life. Why not choose to be that person for someone in your life. How many marriages would thrive if only one mate chose to be the encourager. How many kids would feel empowered to dream big dreams and see them accomplished if they had a parent, a teacher or a friend who believed in them, and told them that they could win in life. Even without pompoms, your words of encouragement can be what helps them believe in themselves. So practice saying these kinds of words to people around you.
I believe in you
You are not a failure
You can make it happen.
I have confidence in you.
God is working on your behalf.
You are bold and courageous.
Your life is not over
God has a awesome plan for you.
You will be surprised how much a little spark of encouragement can bring light to someone’s life. So say some of those encouraging words to others, starting today!

Not a Stone Thrower, but a Grace Sower

Failure may be a road block, but not the end of your journey. Maybe you have even said these words, my life is over. I can’t go on. Well, God doesn’t see it that way! He still has a hope and a future for you, and it is good! If we want to overcome our failures, we can see those road blocks as stepping stones to God’s best life for us. We do not need to remain defeated. We do not need to become downhearted. The roadblock is temporary. Soon the road construction will be complete, and we can keep on going. Once we have realized that in our own life, it can give us faith to believe that for others. We can begin using the same word that encouraged us to help someone else see that too. People around your need your encouragement. You made it through, they can too. Don’t be a stone thrower, be a grace sower! As a grace sower, you are planting seeds of mercy that will grow to become oaks of righteousness. When you breathe a breath of life into someone, through grace filled words, you fill their sails with wind. All of us have had the wind taken from our sails. When you encourage someone, you are blowing fresh wind into their sails. I sure am thankful when others do that for me. Let’s do that for others, starting right now.
