Love is Patient and Kind I Tim 1:15-17

Ok, I didn’t pass the patience test I was in today. I flunked miserably, in fact, I wasn’t even kind and I had to apologize for my behavior and ask for forgiveness. My humanity showed through in the flesh. I forgot to do what I’ve been telling you to do – that we have to choose fruit over flesh. Fruit is much sweeter and leaves no bad after taste. In fact, it makes life so much better on every level. Well, the teacher is learning, just rather slowly!

Our goal in life, isn’t to flunk, but to pass! We don’t just want to barely make the grade, we want flying colors. The same test will keep coming until we pass – HELLO! What we all could use is a little “Miracle- Grow” on the fruit of our life. I really do believe that’s what the Spirit of God does for us. We have the power to witness and to “live out” our Christian life, but we have to activate it by our actions. We have to remember to depend on the power within to have control when we need it, to have patience when we’d rather pass judgment, and to respond in kindness in all situations.

God’s mercy is available!
1 Timothy 1:15-17
15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

God is being patient with you. He certainly has been patient with me! Thank God for His patience! Shouldn’t we be able to pass along some of that same patience to others? Of course we can! And we should!
