Live free! He whom the Son sets free is really, really free. So right now is the best time to just let go! Let go of guilt. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, because we don’t live according to the flesh any longer, we live according to the Spirit. We can never please everyone, but we don’t have too. The One we need to please is God. Our lives are designed to glorify and honor God, and we can’t do that when we live in the past, with our lives consumed by guilt. There is a time to let go, and it is now. Today is the day to live free. Don’t go another day living in bondage.
We don’t have to hold onto childhood hurts and wounds, or regrets of the past. There is nothing we can do to change what has happened in the past. It is water under the bridge. The only thing we can do now is to forgive and let it go. Paul tells us in the book of Philippians to let the past go of the past. He had an awful past to let go of. He had to let go of the good, the bad and the ugly. We have to do the same. We cannot be stuck in the muck and mire of the past, and we cannot be stuck in the glory of the past.. Live fresh today. Live free! It is time to walk on…. In freedom. Be free to let go.
