I felt like God spoke to me to do #50songs50days. I believe that music is such a beautiful part of life, and so enriching to our lives as believers and a great addition to our devotional life, so for the next 50 days, we are doing 50 songs. Can you hear some important person in your life giving you guidance to put first things first? We know Jesus tells us that, in Matt 6:33 we are told to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and everything else we need will be added to us. If you were raised in church, you probably sang this song:
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness And all these things will be added unto you Hallelu, Hallelujah
The first thing, should be seeking God. I’m an early morning person, so early is good for me. I hope you have found a time each day that works for you to meet with God. Don’t make it an after thought, or like many people do, just seek God when you are in the depths of a problem. My husband wrote this little chorus years ago, that I love, because it puts first things first.
Early in the morning will I meet with You
Early in the morning will I pray
I’ll seek your face and arise up in faith
Early in the morning will I worship You.
Let’s put first things first, and meet with God early in the year, early in the week (go to church) and early every day. #50songs50days.
