Feb 5 Sunday Enter In

Reconciled, with right standing. When we realize and understand what that means, we will be able to take the place of rest. Our attempts to perform right are no longer needed. Because of the covenant of blood through the cross, we can receive the unconditional love, mercy and grace of God, and enter into God’s place of rest. Enter into rest. How often do we push ourselves physically beyond our natural limits. I think we probably do it all too much. Think about those words, enter into rest. Sometimes to enter into something new, we have to exit the highway that we are on. To enter into a restful place, a place of Sabbath, a place of peace, we have to press the off button, or take our foot off of the accelerator. We live in a fast paced world. But God continues to operate at the same speed all the time. We can think that if we take time to rest, we will just get behind. But in reality, our bodies were made for rest. A third of the daily allotment of hours should be in times of physical sleep. Taking time to wind down and give our bodies a break is God’s idea. He started it at the beginning, and he knew our tendency to want to perform at optimum speed would need to be tempered. When we listen to the voice of our creator, and realize He is way smarter than us, we will follow His pattern and plan. We have right standing. We are reconciled. We don’t have to out perform our neighbor. We just have to do what we are called to do and enter into more and more of the rest that God wants for us to experience .
