One of my goals in life is to be a life long learner. Because we are connected with God, as it says in I Cor 6:17, we should have an unquenchable appetite for more of Him, but also to know as much as possible about His Word. I hope you are hungry and thirst for more! If you are currently a student, can you believe half of the school year is over already? Do you ever stop to think about how much more you know now, then you did just 6 months ago? Day by day your mind is getting filled with information that will help you succeed in life. If you practice an instrument, or are involved in extra activities after your classes, you have probably found that if you practice on a regular basis you get better. (That’s the goal anyway!)
Well, that is a great principle to establish in your life as a student, because it continues after you are done with all of your schooling. The areas that you want to improve, need daily, continual attention. That’s why setting goals is so important. You want to be at a certain place by year’s end. You can begin right now to make your own life goals. They can be short term, or long term goals. Do you want to be a great humanitarian, or a writer or an author, or an athlete, or a great musician, or an entrepreneur? Start now to make that come to pass. Make a goal, make it easy to understand, keep it in front of you, and then go for it! Don’t ever think young people can’t accomplish much – many before you have, and you will too! Don’t ever think you are too old either! Start today!
