April 3 A Day of Destiny

Good Friday is a day of remembrance for what Jesus did for us on the cross. It is really hard to discern what happened to the physical body of Christ. It definitely wasn’t a pretty scene. Darkness covered the earth as an outward expression of the somberness of the moment. The Bible says that the time would have been about 3:00 in the afternoon. Jesus said with his last breath, “Father into your hands I commit my spirit”. Immediately following His final words, there was an earthquake and the curtain in the temple was torn in two, from the top to the bottom, as it says in Matt 27:51. This moment was what Jesus’ life was meant for. He came to fulfill purpose and that is exactly what He did. There would no longer be anything that came between God and us. The veil was gone, and the bridge was opened. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin so that we could be totally forgiven and accepted. God made a way for family, for connectedness and togetherness. Now mankind could not only be just God’s creation, now we were God’s family, one of God’s own children with all the benefits and privileges of being family. The bloodied body of Christ, His sacrificial death, is why a dark Friday when Jesus died becomes Good Friday. He brought good back to the world. He became sin, so that we could become righteous! What a wonderful savior and redeemer. I hope today, you take time to thank Him for his sacrifice.

April 2 Your Will Be Done

How can we make what Jesus went through be effective for us? When we see His struggle in the garden of Gethsemane we see what we might call a battle of the flesh. We all would rather take an easy path. It is the path of least resistance that we prefer. Discipline, self control, and patience are all part of walking the path God has for us. The path Jesus took wasn’t easy. His flesh wanted another option. I think we have all been there on a much smaller scale. We may want to do one thing, when we know that something else is the plan of God for us. Jesus wanted to redeem the world, He just wanted to make sure that this really was the only way to do it. When Jesus said, “not my will, but Thine be done,” he was saying, I won’t choose the selfish path. I choose the path of righteousness. That can be our response as well, when we are faced with decisions. Often our decisions to follow God really are just an act of self denial. To think that Jesus was willing to sacrifice it all demonstrates the kind of love that He had. “Amazing Love, how can it be, that my king would die for me.” So our encouragement today is that whatever decisions we need to make to have intimacy with Jesus Christ is well worth the effort. Take time today to meditate on His Word, to look introspectively, and then to celebrate all that He has done for you so that we can have complete communion with Him. And thank Him for His love for you!

April 1 Totally Loved and Accepted

Chosen, accepted, established. What a wonderful place to be in Christ. We become chosen, accepted and established, not by our works, but by His work in us. It is time to just receive the love that God has for us. When we are in His Presence, we benefit the most when we take time to just receive the love of God. Love was manifested in a manger. Love was crucified on a cross. Love was raised from the dead to bring resurrection life to us. Jesus is love personified. Through Him we are accepted, forgiven, and received into the family of Go d. His love is placed in our heart, and that heart to heart connection is what breathes life into us. We get to experience intimacy with God all because of Jesus’ willingness to pay the price for our sin. Once we are where God wants us to be, we can begin to love like Jesus. The people in our lives get to experience the love of God manifested through us. We get to let them know they are chosen, accepted and totally loved. We then get to see the power of God at work in the lives of those who we come in contact with. Let’s be aware, and have our spiritual senses fully awake and alert. Someone you know needs to know they are loved and accepted. Jesus made the way for them, and He wants to use you to be his hands to them on earth!

March 31

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing. Jesus spoke these words in John 15:5. Have you ever noticed that a tree or vine that has no life in it, bearing fruit? If there is no life, there is no fruit. If we want to be fruitful, life must be flowing from the vine into the branches. As Christ’s followers we have been grafted into the vine. Because of Jesus, our life flow as a “branch” is now connected to the source. Our source of life came because of Calvary. Because of what was accomplished on the cross, we can spend time in the presence of God. We develop that heart to heart connection when we are joined together, intimately connected through fellowship on a daily basis. His life is indwelling in us! We are a branch firmly fastened to the vine. It is a heart to heart connection. Just like with the flow of blood in our veins, life continues. With the vital connection to the vine, life flows through us to produce godliness with power! (2 Tim 3:5!)

March 30 The Cross = Love

What a wonderful season Easter is. We will celebrate Jesus rising from the dead and overcoming death hell and the grave. He fought the enemy on his own turf and Jesus won the victory. The Christian church centers around Jesus fulfilling His purpose by going to the cross. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. This week we are focusing on the reason behind it all, the love of God. The love God has placed in our hearts makes us want to love Him more, and love others more. In the process of all that love, life becomes abundant, and we find ourselves, loving God, loving people and then loving life. That is exactly what Jesus died for. Here is your daily eword.

This time was what Jesus’ life was meant for. For such a time as this. He came to fulfill purpose and that is exactly what He did. There would no longer be anything that came between God and us. This week in history had eternal ramifications. The veil in the temple would be torn, and separation between God and man was gone, and the bridge was opened. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin so that we could be totally forgiven and accepted. God made a way for family, for connectedness and togetherness. Now mankind could not only be just God’s creation, now we were God’s family, one of God’s own children with all the benefits and privileges of being family. The bloodied body of Christ, His sacrificial death, and triumphant resurrection made provision for the body of Christ to be beautiful. We, as Christ’s body on the earth, are His representatives, and we display His beauty as we fulfill our primary purpose on the earth to go and make disciples of all people. As we love God whole heartedly, and love people fervently, the beauty of Christ’s body is revealed. How beautiful is the body of Christ. Jesus’ eyes were set on the prize, you and me. Let’s be committed to the purpose Jesus gave His life for. It was for people who were, and who are, worth the cost. It was a purpose worth dying for.

March 29 Happy Palm Sunday

Happy Palm Sunday! Today we are invited to do life together as a church body. We celebrate today. I hope you find your way to church today. Join at Amazing Grace Fellowship in Twin Falls if you are in the area. Its gonna be a great day!

“The people that God connects us with in His Kingdom are not mere acquaintances…they are family – God’s sons and daughters, our brothers and sisters who just happen to be alongside us in the portion of history that we are walking through together.” We get the privilege of “doing life together” with Christ’s body. Amazing!

God has some incredible divine connections for us! Visitors to the church body are not just people who have come to take your seat or your parking place! They can be seen as long lost family God has been waiting to reunite us with! A sermon on Sunday is not just a way for the Pastor to tell everyone what they should do, it is heaven’s nourishment – bread of heaven that is needed for our health and direction. Newborn Christians are not only new converts, but new family members, precious people who we get to help see grow up in the family of God and become His disciples. We are divinely connected with new people in our body, the Word of God, and even new converts within the “House”. I hope today, as we celebrate Palm Sunday, you can see God’s will done on earth as it is in heaven as we worship together, doing life with other believers and seeing the kingdom of God expand. Happy Palm Sunday!

Saturday 28 Celebration

It is easy to be inspired with Heavenly Inspiration, and now let’s make it to the celebration of God’s will being done!
Celebration… is the reward…and it is the rest that we experience from doing the will of God. Where are you on the path to walking in the will of God? Are you remembering to ask, listen and trust? Then once you know God’s will are you walking in the inspiration, or are you hesitating or being tempted to take another route? God wants us to be inspired and then walk it out! We have been given great and precious promises that we know are rewards from God when we diligently do His will. All of heaven celebrates when we choose to walk in God’s will and when we see His will accomplished on the earth. God’s will is for his kingdom to expand, His body to grow, and for people’s lives to be changed for the better when they are introduced to living the life that Jesus died for them to live. As we prepare for Easter week, let’s remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us so that we can experience the joy of knowing, loving and serving a wonderful loving God who made a way for us to be a part of His family. Let’s help make this happen, Your will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven.

Friday 27 Don’t Stop

It is easy to be inspired with heavenly inspiration, and even be tempted, before we reach Celebration when it comes to walking in the will of God Let’s look at the third one today, after we are inspired, let’s not hesistate, or be tempted to disobey. We know that the enemy doesn’t want us on track with God’s will. He will attack us, ambush us, and distract us. The only thing Paul knew would take place in Jerusalem was…trouble. He was warned of it, and was prepared. Sometimes we can believe that if I am doing what God want, life will be easy, and everything will always fall into place. I want to give you a big fat WARNING! Here is a reminder that the enemy is not going to make it easy follow God’s will. You will be tempted to QUIT. In the valley is where strength and endurance is built. When the going gets tough, the strong ones keep going. When the enemy attacks, we just keep walking in the will of God, until we reach our mountain. When it looks like we can’t make it to our goal, we just keep going. Many times the reason we are walking in the will of God for our lives is because we just didn’t stop. Don’t let anything tempt you away from doing what God has for you. There is no one like you, and no one can fill your place in the body of Christ like you can.

Thursday 26 Hesitate NOT!

It is easy to be inspired with heavenly inspiration, hesitate, and even be tempted to go another way, before we reach the celebration when it comes to walking in the will of God. We looked at inspiration yesterday, let’s look at the next thing that can happen when we know God’s will and that is hesitation. We hesitate many times because of a lack of details… we are people of faith, and often it just takes a step of faith. In our natural brains, we want to know everything. Sometimes details are missing, and it makes it harder for us to keep walking because not only do we want the next step clearly marked for us, we want the whole plan. We would like for God to lay it out, from the beginning to the end, and a lot of details on the way. When we get inspiration from God, let’s be the kind of people walk by faith, not just by sight. We are people who trust God that He will give us the next step when we need it. He usually gives us just enough light for the step we are on. That makes this life of faith a great big adventure, and if we want to be obedient to the plan of God, let’s not hesitate, but be doers. We can walk in God’s will for our lives!

Wednesday 25 Signposts

One way to find Gods will is to be observant. Signposts are on the road to guide us to a particular destination. We realize we are getting closer to our destination when we
observe some mile markers along the way. If we are driving to Seattle…you will see signs of Oregon …..Yakima,…. Prosser….Auburn, you know you are getting closer. The converse is true as well. If the signpost says Salt Lake City 100 miles, you know you are not getting close to Seattle. God uses our spirit as sign posts for us to follow. God, through the Holy Spirit spoke to Paul in Acts 20:18-21. How was Paul so sure that he should leave Ephesus……? It is easy to be inspired with Heavenly Inspiration, but then hesitate, and even be tempted, before we reach the celebration experience of doing God’s will. Let’s look at all these sign posts. Inspiration ( can come in the form of a thought from God) – Paul said, I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem…. This could have been for Paul, a nudge…an intuition…a knowing….a stir. God can speak to us in a similar way. Never can this be outside of the first 2 boundaries of God’s sovereign and moral will. A good analogy is a can of pop. The bubbles are the Holy Spirit inside you. Sometimes we need to be shaken up (get out of our comfort-zone) to put ourselves in a position to hear from God. For sure…get out of your comfort zone. Going flat happens, dry times happen, but don’t stay that way, stir yourself up. You won’t always…in fact most of the time…you won’t know all the steps. Probably we will just know the next one. Stir yourself up and get ready to make the next step. You can walk in God’s will for your life.
