Sunday May 3 Draw Deeper

One important key for us to remember is that at the new birth, we received a deep well of salvation. And then, when we are filled with the Spirit, John tells us that rivers of living water will flow from our inner man. If ever we begin to feel parched and dry, it could be a good indication that we aren’t availing ourselves to the life giving supply of living water that God has liberally made available to us. You could think of it this way. The Bible says that we have received all that we need that pertains to life and godliness. Most of us never even get past the tip of the iceberg when it comes to receiving and operating in all God has for us. We’ll all be surprised, when we reach heaven, at all the blessings and revelation that we could have utilized on earth, if only we would have drawn deeper from the well of salvation, and dipped further in the river of living water.

What that can mean to us as people with busy schedules is, when we need peace or rest, we can draw it out instead of chasing after it! When we’re feeling unloved or unappreciated, we can drink from the living waters that come from our Father who loves and appreciates us infinitely. If ever we feel rejected or hurt, we can remember that Jesus felt those emotions for us, so that we could walk in freedom. Instead of remaining in a weakened state, we can be re-energized from the inside out! We can be peace, and love, and forgiveness “producers” as we encounter and get to know God from within. The awesome result is life-giving love that begins spilling over from our lives! We are then enabled to concentrate on more than just ourselves. Then we really can reach our dreams, and help others reach theirs.

May 2 Bless Others, Get Refreshed Yourself

To be a dream releaser, we can use the words of our mouth to encourage, to uplift, and to edify. The ones that you influence (your kids, your co-workers, your neighbors, your fellow church members, etc) all can all be encouraged to fulfill their dreams, by the words you speak into their lives. And guess what happens in the process? As you refresh and bless others, you get blessed and refreshed in the process! My prayer is that you have pinpointed some of your dreams, and are working toward achieving them. I also hope that you have begun encouraging some of the people in your life to fulfill their dreams. After making the decision to help someone else attain their dreams, you may think that maybe you have “bitten off more than you can chew”. Most of us have a pretty hectic life, and just keeping up with our own things can wear us out. You may be asking yourself, “How can I do anything more? I don’t want to be all used up on others and not have enough for my family.” Those are noble concerns, and truly there are people that serve so much that they have nothing left. Often they have such a heart of a servant, that wherever there is a need, and no one else is meeting it, they feel obligated to step in. There is a good way to keep a balance, and we can find that balance when we know what our purpose is, and choose not to get sidetracked from God’s specific plan for us. The Bible does say we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, it just doesn’t say we can do it all at once! If we can’t do it all, we have to be aware of what it is we should do, and then obediently do it!

Friday May 1 ” I AM”

Can you be a dream releaser in someone else’s life? It’s not always easy to find the key that will unlock someone’s potential. Sometimes we have a hard time unlocking our own! We can help those we love, our kids, our mates, our friends, and even brothers and sisters in Christ release the dreams that God has put in their hearts. One incredible key is in the words that we speak. Since words are so powerful, and have to potential to bring life or death, what we say has great impact. You’ve probably noticed that is what my blog and radio program center around, encouraging words! If we speak words of life, we can bring healing to the soul (Prov 16:24). If we speak words of negativity, or of death, we can wound and injure. The words we speak over ourselves have long lasting effects as well. A recent new revelation I received that has made me extra careful about words I say over myself if is this. Whenever I use the words I am, I make sure that the words are uplifting. Jesus lives within us, and He is part of the Godhead. God called Himself I AM, so whenever we say I am stupid, or I am ugly, or I am incapable, we are taking the name of the Lord in vain. We are associating the great I AM with insufficiency, insignificance and inability. SO, I hope you remember that too. I Am all the things that God says I am.
To help release dreams in the lives of others, let’s only speak life giving words over those we love.

April 30 Be a Dream Releaser

Are you realizing your potential? We are talking about dreams, and how important it is not to die with our dreams, but to be dream doers! As important as it is that we are doers of the Word (James 1:22), it is important that we accomplish the life mission God gave specifically to us. My prayer is that you are taking the steps necessary to fulfilling your dreams.

Today, my encouraging word to you is to encourage someone else in their dream.
This positive principle is the law of sowing and reaping. It is also called the principle of reciprocation and it works this way. When you help others achieve their dreams, you will continue to achieve yours as well. Your dream will begin unfolding as you encourage someone else, because you will reap what you sow. (Gal 6:7).

In a world where everyone is looking out for their own best interests, it is unusual to show someone that you believe in them, and are rooting for their success. In this world’s system, the common method is to get ahead, and it doesn’t matter how many people we crush in the process. That isn’t God’s way. God wants us to follow the godly path, and help someone along the way. Sounds like a wonderful way to live!

April 29 Not Too Young, Not Too Old

Can you fulfill your purpose and accomplish the dream God gave you? You bet you can. It is never too late, or too early to start. The Bible commends the aged who continue contending for the things of God, and he tells the youth, not to let anyone look down on them because they are young. So, if you think you’re too old, you aren’t! Just think of Abraham and Sarah. You are just a young thing compared to them! If you think you’re too young, you’re not! Just think of the shepherd boy named David. As a young man, he believed that nothing was too difficult for His Big God. Dreamers come in all ages, so don’t let your age be an excuse for doing what God has for you! Dream on! Dare to fulfill your dreams. Habbakkuk 2:2-3 reminds us to write down your dreams and visions from God, and begin to see them come to pass. If you think you are too young, read I Tim 4:12. If you think you are too old, read Ps 92:12-15 , Ps 71:18. Don’t let anyone despise you because of your age. You aren’t too young, and you aren’t too old. Get about fulfilling God’s vision for your life!

Tuesday April 28 Big Dreams Realized

A few years ago I heard of a single woman, who felt like God wanted her to move to Africa to help the orphaned children in a war torn country there. She sold her home in Australia, and moved by herself and set up a day care facility there. In the many years since, she has been there she has ministered to thousands of orphans. Many of those from her preschool are now teenagers and college students, who attend the high schools, vocational schools, and colleges. Because she acted on the dream in her heart, thousands of children and teenagers and young adults are being nurtured with the love of God through this one willing dreamer.

Are you fulfilling the dream God put in your heart? It can truly be scary to step out in faith and try something, especially when others tell you that you are crazy! No one thought this Australian lady was thinking clearly. But clearly, she was doing the will of God for her life. We are made for a purpose, and destined for a mission in this life. Can one dream fulfilled make a difference? You bet.

April 27 Reach for Your Dream

Has anyone ever called you a dreamer? Maybe as a kid you did a lot of daydreaming at your school desk, when you should have been studying. Or maybe you had lofty ideas that someone told you that could never be accomplished. Or perhaps you wake up in the morning thinking about the funky dreams you had in your sleep the night before! (I’ve had some weird ones!) There are lots of ways to look at dreams. One dream that everyone has deep in their inner man, is to have fellowship or union with their Creator. That sends many people on searches for fulfillment, and just like the country western song says, they go looking for love in all the wrong places. We find fulfillment of that dream when we come to personally know God, who is love personified.

God places dreams in the heart of all of us. He has a plan and a purpose for each one and His desire is to see our dreams, come alive, and then become a reality. Too many people die with their dreams still unattained. They never had confidence to step out and try or to press through the fear of failing. It could be they gave up on their dream because someone, either intentionally or inadvertently, crushed their dream. I’m believing with you that you will reach the dream God placed in you. Determine to be a dream releaser for others! And go after the dreams God put in your own heart too

April 26 Progress

Don’t start kicking yourself for not producing enough good fruit, instead, look back on your life since you got saved, and see all the progress you have made. Can you see God’s hand on your life? Have you made huge strides toward being the Christ-like person God wants you to become? Even if you don’t see it, I’m sure that others around you do! He has begun a good work, and He will complete it! (Phil 1:6)

For me, the best way to keep making progress is to stay positive…..keep looking toward the prize….to keep pressing onward. It is harder when we beat ourselves up for slipping backward. And who tries to beat us up with our past failures? It is the enemy, the devil, our adversary. Who gently leads us like a shepherd toward the producing good fruit? It is our wonderful Jesus. God has already given us the victory, all we need to do is walk on in and possess it! When you are feeling condemnation, remember, it isn’t coming from God. God is the one who brings conviction and with conviction, there is always hope of arriving at your desired destination. (Romans 8:1) Onward….toward total freedom! It’s already yours “in Christ”! This is how being fruitful feels

April 25 Pray in the Spirit to Be Refreshed

We are talking about being fruitful in every area of life, and yesterday we discussed how to combat weariness. Besides being in the Word, staying in prayer and fellowshipping with like minded believers, one additional tool for refreshing my spirit that I have found, is time praying in the Spirit. Ever since the day I was filled with the Spirit when I was 18 years old, I have prayed in the spirit on a daily basis. Even if my mornings start with “springing out of bed with my tennis shoes on”, I know that wherever I am, whatever I have to do, I can pray in the spirit quietly under my breath and my spirit is getting energized and strengthened. It’s almost like having the Energizer Bunny on the inside. When you are strengthened from the inside – you know that you can do all things through Christ because He is your strength. Mountains become surmountable, issues look less significant, and problems begin to look more like opportunities. God inside of you becomes A GREAT BIG GOD, and the devil looks itty bitty. How incredible to realize that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and to know that God is on your side. That’s refreshing!! And when you are refreshed, it is so much easier to produce good fruit.

April 24 Reenergized and Refreshed

Just as our physical bodies need re-energizing, our spirits need the same thing to produce good fruit. There are days, sometimes even weeks or months, when daily things can wear you down. It doesn’t even matter if it is huge issues you are dealing with, or just the “little foxes” that make you feel like you are chasing your tail. On a regular basis, our spirit needs to be refreshed.

We know all the standard answers for getting refreshed if we’ve been in church for any amount of time. We’ve heard teachers and preachers talk about how important the Word is for our daily nourishment. So true! It should be as important to us as the food we put into our mouths. We know that we are supposed to stay connected to God in prayer, and to make our days, a continual communication with Him. We know how important fellowshipping with other believers is for us to be strengthened, because iron sharpens iron. Each of these have wonderful benefits in our lives, so what we’ve heard is so true. I hope you become energized today!
