This is the time for overflow, unexpected blessing and abundance of favor. Those words encourage me! I love overflow, blessing and favor! If we look at the full counsel of the Word of God, we can see that Jesus came to bring not just life, but life in abundance……that sounds like overflow. Even in Psalms 23, it says our cup runneth over….that sounds like abundance. If we looked at the Beatitudes in Matt 5, Jesus gave 9 ways that we will be known as blessed (which means happy, prosperous and to be envied!) .if we are #1) humble, #2 contrite, #3) meek, #4) hungering and thirsting for righteousness, #5) merciful, #6) pure in heart, #7) a peacemaker, #8) persecuted and #9) insulted. It sounded pretty good until we got to 8 and 9…..but it should be no surprise that the world’s system doesn’t like to see God’s people blessed. They get a bit jealous, and will persecute you and insult you. But if that happens – know that you are blessed! One of the blessing of being blessed and favored is everyone is not going to like you. That is a good thing to learn early on! God’s favor is on you, because you’re part of His family. We’re favored because of Jesus, and that favor spill over, not only in the family of God, but in the world as well. You will get the best parking spots, the shortest lines, and people will be helpful wherever you go. That happens to me a lot! Not always, but God goes before you…expect His blessing. So are you ready for some more overflow, blessing and favor in your life? Why not start expecting it…..you’re God’s favorite!

June 11 This is Your Moment
This is your moment. Right now God wants you! It is you He wants. Your age, social status, body shape, personality, all the things that make you uniquely you – that is what God wants! He doesn’t do copies, and he made you an original. What is different about this moment from any other? It is the moment that you have right now, and now can be the best moment of your life! Why not choose to make it amazing? Think about these things – they should bring up a specific scripture reference.
Live for God now! (Eph 5:15,16)
Don’t get stuck in yesterday. (Phil 3:13)
Don’t be waiting for your big break in the future (Phil 4:6)
Choose to be joyful and happy now! Live fully alive today (Phil 4:4)
Now is your time:
To seek God’s face (Matt 6:33)
To become more intimate with God (Phil 3:10)
And then – help someone else with what you learn! That comes right out of
one of my favorite scriptures in II Cor 1:3,4 where it says that what God has done for you, in you and through you, you can use to help someone else. How awesome is that! God’s comfort in your life, is a seed sown in you to comfort someone else! He has begun something great in you. He wants to see it come to completion as it says in Phil 1:6. So live today – full on for God and expect great things!
June 10 Know in Your Knower
One verse that keeps coming up in my heart is one most of us don’t like to think about. It is in James 4:17 and it says, he who knows what is right to do and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin. I’m not feeling very encouraged after reading that verse. I know there are things that I know I should be doing that I don’t do. I hope you’re agreeing with me, I don’t want to be alone in this!!!! What is important for us to discover and put into operation in our life is the difference between conviction and condemnation. The Holy Spirit will convict us of sin, and we will know it in our “knower” – our spirit- the real us on the inside. But the devil is the accuser of the brethren and he will bring condemnation to make us feel defeated on the inside. The difference is, with the Holy Spirit’s conviction there is hope. With the enemies condemnation there is hopelessness. The Bible says in Romans 8:1 that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, because the law of the Spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and death. So instead of letting condemnation try to intrude in our life, why not choose to obey if the Holy Spirit convicts us? If we know what is right to do, why don’t we just do it. Obedience really is best! It is a great way to live, why not turn it around and say, when I know it is right to do, that is what I will do!
June 9 Be Specific
It is important for us to keep our faith active and alive. When God’s Word speaks specifically to us, we need to put action to our faith. Here are some things that I am believing for our church and community. They are things that together we can believe God for in your sphere of influence and in mine. Let’s pray for:
People to be saved every week – altars in Bible believing Christian churches filled with people who are hungering and thirsting for the fullness of God. (That’s what life is all about, expanding the Kingdom of God!)
• People to grow in the Word of God, and be obedient to walk the walk – becoming true disciples.
• People available in abundance to do the work of the ministry. – Connected and plugged in – being doers of the Word and the specific assignment God has for them.
An abundance of finances to press ahead and do more, build more, expand more, and reach more, in creative and innovative ways – for the Kingdom of God!
James says that faith without works is dead! Not just broken, or dying, but dead! Let’s have alive faith! If we have faith, there should be evidence! We should see some breath on the mirror to prove it is alive! There should be some movement, some kind of action! Let’s make sure there is enough evidence in our lives to prove that faith is living and active. God’s Word that doesn’t go out and produce nothing, and so it is with faith. Faith with corresponding action produces results! Be encouraged today, to change your world!
June 8 Believe for More
Intro:
God will do for us what we believe Him for! Isn’t that an awesome thought? Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. To keep moving forward, to keep expanding, and to keep increasing, it is important for us to mix faith with the promises of God. Let’s choose to believe God. We are believers! That’s who we are, and that is what we do. So be encouraged today.
None of us are batting 1,000 at our faith walk, but that certainly shouldn’t make us discouraged. It should encourage us to believe for more. We can all improve in the area of believing! All God wants is for somebody (you and me) to believe something (His Word)! We all know that we need to base our faith on scripture. It is important to have a solid foundation, and there is nothing more solid than the Bible! But believing alone isn’t even enough. To make our faith produce, we must believe it in our heart, and then do something! We can speak it out with our mouth! Faith speaks! If it is not speaking, it is not faith! We are to believe in our heart and then confess with our mouth. Just like cars drive, planes fly, and shovels dig, faith speaks. It is the corresponding action that goes along with faith.
Just like the car needs a key to start, to activate our faith, we need to get our engine going and shift into gear to move ahead in God. In other words, get our rear in gear! Let’s get out of park, out of reverse and neutral, and start moving toward God’s will for our lives. It isn’t that we need an army tank to move ahead, we just need to get moving in our vehicle. (In other words, we don’t need more or bigger, more impressive faith. We just need to use the faith we have!) Just put your car in drive! We need to be disciplined and be reminded to keep moving forward by putting our words in line with our faith, and believe God for great things!!! Let’s not go backward, or roll backward. Stay out of neutral and never sit around wasting gas on idle -especially at these gas prices! God is into progress….let’s get moving….! Today I encourage you (to get your faith out of park, and start driving!)
June 7 Divine Alignment
If we want to reach our potential, two words come to mind. DIVINE ALIGNMENT! We want the tires on our cars to be aligned – we get to our destination easier that way. Our tires don’t wear out as quickly, and we even get better gas mileage. If you are an organizer, or a methodical person, you like all your ducks in alignment. It helps to have things run smoothly. If you’re a marksman or an archer, to hit the mark, you need the “sight” in alignment. Even playing tennis, golf or shooting pool, alignment is important. The way you stand, or how you hold the cue, makes a whole lot of difference. God is all about alignment, He wants order in the church – God wants His church to have proper alignment – He wants things decent and orderly. God wants families to have order and alignment, understanding submission and authority.Walking the Christian walk, we are aligning ourselves with God. To do and be and have all that God wants for us, let’s get in His divine flow, which is His will for us. God wants to enlarge us. Just like anything else in God, it starts first on the inside, so it can be manifested on the outside. You already are bigger on the inside than you think you are! When we are divinely aligned, favor, blessing and abundance flows your way! I want to encourage you, flow in your gifts, and grow in your gifts. Then you’ll glow in your gifts! Light that flame inside, and shine your light and let the whole world see.
June 6 ABC’s
Congratulations to everyone who has graduated or reached a new milestone in your life! In the Old Testament, God often told people to put markers or piles of rocks, or build an altar when and where something great happened. We don’t do that anymore, but mile markers are still important to God. Do you remember when you first gave your heart to Jesus, and asked Him to be your Lord and Savior? Do you remember when you asked Him to forgive you of all your sins, so that you could be His child, and a part of His family? That was an important day. I remember when I did that as a six year old at a Vacation Bible School. I had gone to church every Sunday since I was a baby, and on that day in June of 1968 in Mrs. Parrizato’s back yard Vacation Bible School, I gave my heart to Jesus. That was a big mile marker for me. The Bible says when you give your heart to Jesus, you become a new creation….that the old is gone and now we are all new on the inside. So as important as it is that we keep learning and growing, the most important milestone you could ever cross is the one where you decide to follow God and live for Him. Not only is it the most important, it is the biggest adventure you could ever choose. Living for God is all about loving Him, loving others, and loving this wonderful abundant life that Jesus came to give. If you’ve never asked Jesus to be your Lord you can do it even now. Its as easy as A,B,C. Admit you need a savior, Believe Jesus died for you, Confess Him as your Lord and Savior. You can pray right now to become a believer. Repeat this prayer after me, Dear Father, I come to you in Jesus name, and I ask you, to be my Lord and Savior, forgive me of my sins, I choose to follow you, and I will live for you, all the days of my life. Thank you for receiving me, into Your Family. In Jesus Name, AMEN. Let me know if you prayed that for the first time. Today is a mile marker day for you. Congratulations! If you already are born again, why not share the ABC’s of salvation with someone who doesn’t know God yet. Today could be their day for the wonderful milestone of joining God’s family.
June 5 Never Stop
With so many graduations and promotions happening this time of year, it is good to think about your next step. It is time to light the flame and let it burn brightly. You are the light of the world is what what Jesus said about you! Here is a poem to encourage you on your journey!
As you move on to your next step
There’s a fresh new place for you
You can do and be and have
All I have for you to do
Your giftings and your callings
I have surely placed them there
It time to rise and own them
They’re from Me, but meant to share
So let your flame burn brightly
You’re my light unto the earth
Its your destiny and purpose
And the reason for your birth
You are full and running over
Here’s a bow to place on top
As you choose to keep on running
Keep on growing, never stop!
Dorette 4/25/09
For any of you who are graduating, or even walking on toward something greater in your life, remember this thought specifically. God gave you gifts, but they are meant to be used to bless others. Why not commit today to rise and own your gifts, choose to perfect them through knowledge and then begin using them. How exciting it will be to see God’s people doing what God’s stamp is on their life to accomplish! Start now, and never stop!
June 4 Grow Your Faith
One very important element in actualizing our potential is to be people of faith. As believers, it should be natural for us to have a strong faith life. We live by and walk by faith. So a very important key to actualizing your potential is to operate in faith – Roman 1:17 tells us that the just shall live by faith. That’s who we are, that’s how we live. Let’s be believers who BELIEVE! Here are some ways to operate in faith.
a) Call those things which be not as though they are as it says in Romans 4:17, 18 The Bible doesn’t say, call those things which are as though they are. That takes no faith! When can you stop using your faith? NEVER!
b) Remember what God has spoken to your heart. Don’t give up on your dreams and visions. We are God’s sheep and know his voice… Dream Big! Go for it! Be in His will! You are God’s son or daughter…just like it says in Joel 2:28,29…..Dream God’s dream for you.
c) Stay optimistic – we win! We believe all things are possible. We speak to mountains. We resist and rebuke the enemy and believe for victory. Don’t be moved by what you see or what you feel. Have a spirit of Faith – believe and speak I Cor 4:13,16 Remember and operate in this important truth – I am not moved by the world, I am moved by the WORD!
I hope you are beginning to believe that you can fulfill your purpose on the earth. God is into doing things in ways we don’t expect, and using people just like you. In fact, He wants to exceed your expectations… He’s good at doing exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. Think about that….and be encouraged.
June 3 Keep On
Today we will continue to talk about actualizing all of your potential. Yesterday we talked about increasing your core strength. Today we’re talking about one more thing that is important is reaching your potential and that is getting better at what you are good at – find your strengths and excel. You can’t be good or an expert at everything! As it says in II Peter 1:5-11 we are to continue being perfected. How do you do that? Here’s some ideas.
a. Find your strengths. Where are you strong? Add to that knowledge. Pat yourself on the back for what you do well. Start simple if you have to!
You got out of bed! You love and serve your family. You choose joy over depression, give yourself another pat on the back! GOOD JOB! You’re a good parent, you have great discipline! Perfect your strengths!
b. Quit kicking yourself for what you don’t do, or what you aren’t good at. If you have areas to improve, and we all do, look at them as growth areas! Know where your weaknesses are, but concentrate on what you do well! Quit comparing yourself with others. Do what you do…..really well!
c. Use your time wisely. To get better at anything means you have to make time for it. Find your time drains. Where are you wasteful with your time? Make the most of every opportunity and every moment you have.
You do have the ability to improve…and when you do you will be closer still to doing, being, and having all that God has for you!
