Thursday Nov 17 Run Your Race

Finding your passion means you run your own grace race. Too often we want to be in somebody else’s race, or even run in their lane. If we did that at a track meet, we would be disqualified. So stay in your own race, and stay in your lane. Once you find your grace place, run your race well. Get rid of anything that hinders you from running your best race. That is where you will do life best! We aren’t competing against each other, we are just trying to be our very best. Quit looking over your shoulder to see how others are running their race. Look ahead, down the track and look to Jesus, he is the author and finisher of your race! When we get to the finish line, we don’t want to be there by ourselves. We want many others to make it to heaven because of our influence in their lives. We have to be confident in our giftings to be able to lead and influence people around us. We are competing for the souls of men. Lets take as many people with us to heaven as we possibly can!

What does a grace-filled person running their race look like?
They are not deterred by distractions
They don’t get involved drama
No time for discontentment

They have the heart of a servant
They have the tongue of the wise
They have hands to bless
They encourage, help, lead, and even walk through dark places with grace.
They know where their strength comes from.

Wednesday Nov 16 Find Your Grace Place

Find Your Grace Place. If we really want to fulfill God’s will for our life, we have to get passionate about where He has placed us. It is like being in the sweet spot of your tennis racket. It is where you feel like you are in the zone. God’s grace has been specifically and purposefully tailored for you. His grace helps you perfectly connect your passion to your God given strengths and talents. What is it that God has called you to do? What are your giftings? What comes naturally for you? If you can discover answers to those questions, you will find your passion. That is also where you find your measure of Grace. You can be comfortable in your grace place.

There is no need to try to be somebody else. They are already taken! I’m not Joyce Meyer, or Christine Caine, of Bobby Houston, or Beth Jones, or Beth Moore. I’m just me, but that is a good thing. No one but you can be you like you can be you!

Remember that everyone else is already taken. What am I specifically called to? I am called to encourage, help, serve, bless, build, inspire, and support. I’m glad I get to do that everyday! What are you called to do? Go ahead and do it! I know you can!

Tuesday Nov 15 Marvelous Light II Peter 2:9

What is passion? Most of the time we think of it romantically. We are passionately in love with our mate (I hope you are!!!) Or the passion of your heart is the dream you hold dear. We can be passionate about a hobby, or even a sport! What we should be most passionate about is worshipping God. Whether you belong in the “joyful noise section”, or have the voice of an angel, we are created to worship. In the presence of His Majesty, our King, we expose our hearts to God, and he lavishes His love on us. Then we get to live out our purpose on the earth, which is to love others with the same love we have received. We love the world enough to help them out of darkness, and lift them into the arms of Jesus where they have life and light everlasting. That’s passion and purpose in motion! I’m thankful that I’ve been lifted from the pit, and can now proclaim the praises of Him who has called me, out of darkness and into His marvelous light! Sing your song, shout your praise, and give thanksgiving to God. He deserves your passionate praise!

Mon Nov 14 Passion and Purpose Ps 138:8

Passion is a really cool word. In a spiritual sense, it can be an intense desire, strong hunger, extreme thirst, even a hearty appetite. Hi, this is Dorette Schaal with your dailyeword. I’m glad God is passionate about us, and he puts that same passion in us to do what we are called to do. This week, do some introspection and see if you really are doing what God has called you to do. There is nothing more fulfilling in life that accomplishing God’s plan for our life. Living the best life that God has for us, is something to be grateful for. Here is your dailyeword.

My husband and I had the beautiful opportunity recently to be with a group of my friends in ministry who were all spiritual sons and daughters of my husband’s Pastor growing up. We had a three day prayer summit, and not only prayed for each other, but prayed for our nation, for the lost around the world, and for the people that each of our ministries touch. We love and appreciate how much Brother and Sister Behrman have sown into so many lives, including ours. As Thanksgiving approaches, I have so many things for which I am grateful. One thing that I am thankful for is the opportunity to have been mentored by a great couple who continue to serve God wholeheartedly. I am also thankful that because of Christ we have the opportunity to live out our lives with passion and purpose. It is an awesome thing to know that God has placed us here at this time, to accomplish His will on the earth. He’s entrusted so much to us, and He wants us to live life full! We can make each day count and expect to live life by design and not by default. How sad it would be to reach the end of our days and know that we didn’t live up to our potential. Savor each moment and determine to live life with passion and purpose with a thankful heart. The Lord will fulfill his purpose in you.

Sunday Nov 13 Know His Voice John 10:4-5

It is easy to be distracted, and lose focus when we pray. God wants us to be attentive and listen. We can be familiar with His voice. You get to know someone’s voice by being around them, and listening. It says in John 10:4,5 that I know His voice, I won’t follow the voice of a stranger. Listening is more than hearing with your natural ears. He that hath an ear, let Him hear. Mark 7:16 If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend by hearing is how it is stated in the Amplified Bible. God knows how to speak to you! He spoke through a donkey in Numbers 22, so surely He can handle speaking to and through you! Be attentive, and pay attention! He’ll bring the Word to your remembrance, (John 14:26.) The important part of remembering it is having it in your heart to begin with. That is why we are to hide His Word in our hearts. Get the Word inside! Jesus will take what is God’s and reveal it to you! (John 16:14-15). If we’ll be teachable and attentive to His Words, He will teach us if we will listen! I John 2:27. It is proof that we are God’s sons and daughters when we are led by His Spirit. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. (Rom 8:14) As children of God, lets do our part and take time to pray, know His voice, and pray for our leaders, for all men, for us to live peaceably on the earth.

Saturday Nov 12 God is Bigger

If we want our prayers to be effective, we must stay vitally connected to the vine, and whatever you ask will be yours. It really says that in John 15:5-7 What a promise! Today remember to pray for our nation and the many issues we are facing. God is bigger than it all! Now is a great time to enlist in the prayer army of God. When you volunteer to spend time praying for our nation, you can be mobilized to make a difference. God is looking to us to be His earth representatives. It is up to us to know our authority. Then it is our responsibility to use the keys of the kingdom, including of binding and loosing (Matt 16:19) to see God’s will accomplished on the earth. We have to believe that what God says will actually come to pass. Sometimes we pray not really expecting anything to change. When an answer is revealed to something you’ve been praying for, if you consciously write down what you had on your heart to pray for, you can look back and see when and what you prayed for, and then when the answer came. Then don’t forget to thank God when the answer is manifested. As you make a choice to pray fervently for our nation, let’s remember to celebrate even the little victories that we see. It takes a while to turn a big ship around, but big ships do turn! Let’s believe for it. `

Friday Nov 11 Let the Spirit Lead You

One of the best ways to pray, is to be Spirit led while praying. Instead of just following a list, or going through a set pattern, it is good to stop, look and listen to the Holy Spirit and let Him direct your prayers. Today we’re going to look at the importance of stopping, taking time and just giving ourselves a moment to be still in God’s presence. When we quiet our heart, we can be prepared to hear effectively. If we want our strength renewed, the Bible says in Is 40:31 for us to wait on God and we won’t be weary and we won’t faint! Is 30:15-18 – says that in quietness and confidence we will find our strength, and there is a blessing for all who earnestly wait for Him. Is 64:4 says that eyes have not seen, and ears have not heard what God has prepared for those who wait on God. Is 49:23 says we will not be ashamed when we wait on God. Busyness and activity can keep us from hearing from God. We can look at Mary and Martha and see a visible example of this. Martha’s timing was off. She was busy when she should have been still. It was time to lay aside busyness and concentrate on what was most important at the moment. Don’t miss your visitation with God because of busyness! Don’t let the enemy or activity steal your time with God. Two final scriptures today are found in Ps 37:7 where it says to rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. And probably one of my favorites when it comes to stopping to listen is found in Ps 46:10 where we are told to be still. God wants us to know that He is God. He sees the big picture, He knows all the details, and we can rest in Him. How encouraging is that!

Thursday Nov 10th Not Too Hard for God

Prayer has been my topic this week and last, and how fitting it would be if today each of us would spend time praying for our country, for the newly elected candidates, for peace, for safety, for freedom and fairness to prevail and for unity to return to our nation. It seems like a huge, impossible prayer, but nothing is impossible WITH GOD! Today, let’s concentrate on how important it is that we pray for our country. I have always been an advocate of prayer, and I love to pray. In fact, I’ll pray anywhere, anytime, for anybody. One time, I remember going into a store to pick up something, and as I was standing in line, when I asked the checker how she was, she replied that she was having a terrible headache. I asked her if I could pray for her, and there at the front of the line, I laid my hands on her and prayed, then paid for my item, and left. The next time I was in the store, I went to the same checker again, and she told me that she couldn’t believe I prayed for her right in line, but more than that, she couldn’t believe that she felt better right away. Prayer works! The thing that most of us don’t realize is that our prayers can make a world of difference. Prayer can make a difference not just with headaches, but with governments as well. Because of the political climate of election time, and the division that often results, it makes our world feel at turmoil. There is obvious division, just because we have to make a choice basically between two ideologies, and both are trying to get our vote. It can bring America’s “soul” to a stress point. On top of that, as a nation, we are at wrestling with unrest in the Middle east. Those two things alone give us lots to pray about! More than ever, as the body of Christ, we need to stand together in prayer.

Make this your prayer today: Father in the name of Jesus, we believe that we your people are called to pray to see your kingdom done, and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us your heart for the world, and your heart for people. Help us to see the big picture, and know that we know the end of the story, and we know who wins. We are thankful to be on your team. In Jesus Name, AMEN.

Wednesday Nov 9 Keep on Praying

Prayer is a divine call, a Biblical priority, and a humble privilege. I hope you are praying today. We know the results about the elections, and life goes on! Just keep on praying.

One thing I have noticed when I start praying is that the more I pray, the more I find to pray about! Once you start praying for one area, many more areas come to mind. One of the most dedicated and committed systematic woman of prayer I know, has a system of praying that is incredible. It is very detailed and there are certain areas she prays for on specific days, and her prayer list is like a book. One incredible thing about having a specific plan is when an answer is revealed to something you’ve been praying for, you can actually look back and see when you prayed, and then when the answer came. Many times, we forget when and what we prayed for and then forget to thank God when the answer is manifested. (Yikes!)

There are many organizations that systematically pray for our country including prayforournation.com and the Presidental Prayer Team. The World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs, CO has prayer teams that pray for our nation around the clock. In the natural realm, we have no way of knowing how powerfully our nation has been affected by the prayers of God’s people. Prayer has the power to turn the heart of a nation toward what is just and right. Prayer for our nation can cause victories to be won, which would not have happened without God’s people spending time on their knees.

Tuesday Nov 8 Decision Day

Today is the day. I encourage you to go out and vote, and then make sure you continue to fervently pray, our nation needs it today!

Since early this year, I have had a strong impression to spend more time in prayer. Some of my prayer time was directed toward our country. Some of it was directed toward our church, and some of it was directed toward my own family. We need to be aware of the enemy’s tactics, and ready with our shield of faith raised, to ward off any darts the enemy shoots our way. As the year has progressed, I can see specifically what God was doing in regard to each of the situations I was praying for.

When we feel impressed to pray for any situation, we should be as persistent as the problem is. In other words, we pray as though no one else was praying, even though many are. The promise in II Chronicles 7:14 holds true. If God’s people humble themselves and pray, God will heal our land. As we pray on election day, I Tim 2:1-brings 3 important things to mind. 1) We intercede for everyone, including government leaders- that is our assignment as the body of Christ. 2) Our prayers can change the spiritual climate and culture, so we can lead a quiet and peaceful life. 3) The objective of our prayer is so that God’s kingdom will be advanced and more people can come to know Christ.

So lets pray together. Today as our nation elects new leaders, we pray for them, we believe for their safety and their wisdom to turn to You God for direction and help. We pray that the fervent, healthy spiritual climate and culture can return to our nation so the result would be Your will on earth, which is for us to lead a quiet and peaceful life in our nation. We also believe that we can be the light that shines around the world, showing the love of Jesus, and that Your Kingdom God can be advanced, and people can come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
Remember, prayer is a divine call, a Biblical priority, and a humble privilege.
