Be a restorer to someone who has failed. They may feel like nobody else is on their side. Your kindness may be the very thing that can bring them through. Talk to them personally. There are probably a lot of people talking about them, so you be the one who brings them a word of encouragement personally. You can do it through a card, a text or an email, on the phone or in person. It might be important for you to look them in the eye, face to face, and tell them you believe in them, and that you are on their side. I love it when God puts a divine appointment right in front of you, when you least expect it. You might be going about your day, totally unsuspecting that God is setting you up to minister to someone who needs to know that you love them and are on their side. Those instances happen when you are available and willing to open up your heart to someone. Every time I step on an airplane, I expect God to set me up next to someone who needs encouragement. When I head out to do errands, I expect God to put someone in my path who needs a smile, a pat on the back, or words of encouragement. My expectation is usually met! I can remember one time years ago when my girls were little, I was homeschooling them, and hadn’t had an opportunity to minister to anyone yet that week. In my morning prayer time, I asked God to send me a divine appointment that day. He delivered a young girl to my doorstep. Her car broke down just a short way from my house, and she was a teenager who was pregnant, with a broken down car. Hand delivered by Jesus to my door, was my opportunity to be a blessing to a hurting, broken girl. What a privilege to encourage someone! Expect God to use you!
