For my mom’s 80th birthday last year, I made her a book that was called 80 reasons I love my mom. It didn’t take me very long to write out 80 reasons, because I have a great mom. She is fantastic. I hope she enjoyed counting the ways that she was loved. In Eph 3:17-19 Paul tells us to try to grasp how wide and deep and amazing is God’s love for us. It surpasses knowledge. In other words, we can never fathom or totally know with our physical mind how much we are loved. We have to get a revelation of it in our spirit, and then actually receive that love, and be filled with all the fullness of God. The prayer starts out with these words, being rooted and established in love, and then goes on to say how much more loved we are. So young or old, as much as we think we are rooted in love, let’s open our hearts to all the love God has for us. When that happens, something spectacular happens, we want to give that love away. We know that it isn’t meant just for us, we are to love our world to Jesus. So, count the ways you are loved, and then begin counting the ways you can love others.! Jesus is …. The lover of our soul.
