Here is a little known act about me. I am really strong! I’m strong internally, you’ll have to believe me about that, but I am really strong physically too. Just don’t try to arm wrestle me. There are a few guys who have beat me, but not too many! I know that sounds braggadocios, but I don’t depend on my own physical strength or even internal fortitude day to day. I depend on the strength of the Lord. There is someone who lives inside of me who is stronger and wiser and more powerful than I could ever be. I depend on the strength of God, from sunup to sun down everyday. I face things every day, just as a leader, wife, mom and friend that I cannot handle on my own. I need the strength of the Lord.
How strong are you on your own? You may be internally strong, and may even be able to beat me arm wrestling, (ha, ha!) but where do you draw your strength from? Each day we have to decide, do we try to do this thing called life on our own, or do we draw from the supernatural strength we have found in Jesus? We have a refuge and a fortress when the enemy comes against us. When sorrow tries to overwhelm us, when distressing situations come against you in your world, we can run to Jesus. Jesus is… where we find strength.
