The Love Project continues, and I am wondering….how did you do last week? Remember I gave you some homework? Your love project last week was to find a way to show some love. I asked you to start at home. I suggested that you work on your family. I hope that you chose to walk in love, and be selfless, instead of selfish. That you let someone else go first ahead of you. I suggested that you give your brother, or sister, or friend the bigger portion when you had a choice, and that you say yes instead of whining and complaining when asked to do something. So how did it go? It can be rough at first, because usually we are just in the habit of responding a certain way. We automatically respond the same way each time. Well, I’m hoping that that changes in your life. Even from a young age, you can make habits that will last a life time. So how can you start this journey that will last your life time? My simple suggestion for you is to start by doing little things. Mother Teresa said this once….do all things, even small things, with great love. When we make a choice in every circumstance to act in a loving way, we can begin a process in our lives that can only get better. Do things right when you are asked. Practice immediate obedience. Take time to listen to your siblings. Take care of your own things. Clean up right after you make a mess. If you do everything as unto the Lord, as it says in Colossians 3:17 , your attitudes will begin to change, and so will your actions. So your homework this week is …..do all things, even small things, with great love.
