Teach All Nations Matt 29:20

I wonder how many of us hear the Great Commission to go into all the world and teach all nations and think, I’m so glad someone else is doing that, so it doesn’t have to be my deal. What is interesting about being a part of the body of Christ is that each of us has a function, just like our physical bodies do. Even things that we think might be unnecessary, like eyelashes, really do have a function. They keep dust and grim from getting into our eyes. So every person in the body of Christ has a function too. Our function is to be an active working part of the body. Body parts that don’t function get removed, like an appendix. If it doesn’t work, it comes out. You may be thinking I see where this is going, if I don’t go, I’ll be kicked out of the body. No, don’t go there! Where we should go is this, since I am part of this amazing body, called the family of God, and the body of Christ, what can I do to make my part function at it best capacity. Instead of looking for how little we can do for the body, we should be asking, how can I be most effective in the body. Where am I to go, who am I to teach? How can I do the job God has for me most effectively? If we don’t have a specific directive, we can start where we are. Be a light at home, in your neighborhood, in your workplace, in the marketplace, in your church, in your community. Be ready to share what you have learned from the Word. To teach all nations, you can start where you are. Be willing.
